On the Record

Park MGM, previously known as Monte Carlo, recently opened a new venue on The Strip. On the Record offers a unique nightclub and speakeasy experience, situated across an impressive 11,000 square feet. The freshly renovated nightclub features both indoor and outdoor spaces where guests can relax, explore, and socialize with friends.
On the Record was founded by fraternal twin brothers, Mark and Jonnie Houston of Houston Hospitality, a Los Angeles-based company. The sophisticated Las Vegas club opened on New Year’s Eve in 2019 and has since become one of the most popular nightlife scenes in the city.
The edgy venue has an old school record store feel with modern upgrades and amenities throughout. On the Record is filled with must-see musical nostalgia, from the custom upscale furnishings to the album covers showcased in the Vinyl Parlor.

Once you make it inside of the venue, you’ll find a meticulously decorated space dedicated to the history of music. The Main Room is lined with hundreds of tape cassettes from artists throughout the decades.
The wall also hides a mysterious doorway that leads to the Vinyl Parlor, a hidden speakeasy and one of the most popular features of On the Record. The speakeasy has a total capacity of just 25 people, meaning this is a room that nearly everyone wants to see but few people get to experience.
On the Record is home to an exclusive bar with some of the best mixologists in Las Vegas. On certain nights, these mixologists are flown from world-famous bars around the country to showcase their talent. The albums that line the wall also play a role in a guest’s beverage selection. Patrons can actually take down these albums to give to bartenders for inspiration for a special drink.

Head through the club and you’ll hear music performed by live performers, including multiple DJs and full bands. On the Record plays a wide range of music, such as ‘60s, ‘70s, ‘80s, ‘90s, and current top 40 hits. On the patio just outside, there is a full-sized, full-length double decker bus derived from the UK. Inside the bus is a full-service bar and DJ booth. This incredible prop sets the mood for a high-energy outdoor party.
The nightclub can be a little hard to find as it is hidden behind a record store entrance right off the main casino floor. You’ll want to be on the lookout for signs of general admission or the guest list if you planned ahead. Bottle service is also available and provides guests with a full VIP experience that will far exceed your expectations.
Before making plans, you’ll also want to check out the venue’s event calendar to see upcoming shows. Fridays and Saturdays are usually the busiest at On the Record and these nights are also when you’re most likely to find the bigger named performers and DJs.

If you’re planning on splurging on bottle service, know that bottles usually start around $595. However, table service pricing can vary depending on demand and the event for the night. The best table locations are usually on the dance floor as these tables are closest to the action. However, if you want some privacy, consider reserving the private karaoke room which offers an intimate space to socialize and drink without the big crowds.
While On the Record has been opened for just a short time, it has made a big impression on the Las Vegas landscape. This alternative nightclub offers a tasteful combination of stylish design, dancing, and socializing. It is also home to some incredible entertainers and mixologists. Whether you’re planning a girl’s night out or celebrating a birthday, you’ll want to capture some memories at On the Record.
