The Platters, Cornell Gunter's Coasters and & the Legendary Lead Singers of the Temptations are back in Las Vegas in the legendary Congo Room at the Sahara. Nowhere else can a visitor relive such classics under one roof.
The Cornell Gunter Coasters will be performing much of the comedy material originally created by the late Cornell Gunter for the original Coasters. Gunter, who was the comic genius of the group, created numerous skits and routines that made the original Coasters the 'Clown Princes of Rock and Roll.' His legacy lives on as the Cornell Gunter Coasters perform such stellar hits as 'Yakety Yak,' 'Poison Ivy,' 'Charlie Brown,' and 'Searchin'.
'The Platters are a well known staple of Las Vegas. Performing timeless love ballads including 'Only You,' 'My Prayer,' and 'Great Pretender,' their music recaptures the simplicity of an era when life was easier.
The Legendary Lead Singers of the Temptations. It is his deep bass notes that are featured on the opening to 'There Goes My Baby,' a song that started a new era as the first rhythm and blues song to tie classical strings and a classical melody to rock and roll. After his death, the remaining members of the group continue his legacy and still perform such great classics as 'This Magic Moment,' 'Save the Last Dance for Me,' 'Under the Boardwalk,' 'Up on the Roof' and other hits.
