Penn & Teller
They're known by some as two of the funniest comedians alive, enough said. But seriously, Penn & Teller are an outrageous pair who blends comedy and magic together in a hilariously entertaining show at the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino. The performance often skewers the genre of traditional magic, which is the delight of audiences searching for something within the field that offers a little something more.
Edgy, provocative and hilarious, their show, on any given night, can involve knives, guns, a fire-eating showgirl and a duck. Known as the ‘Bad Boys of Magic,' Penn & Teller supposedly reveal their tricks to the audience, which usually leaves the audience startled nonetheless. Teller will step into the Plexiglas box which is put in the wooden box and then locked right in front of the audiences' eyes. As the eager audience tries to figure out how Teller will escape, all theories are put to rest out when Teller pushes the tops of the boxes up and off him to walk right out onto the red and black checkerboard stage.
And of course, keeping with their shtick, Teller doesn't say a word during the entire show. But his counterpart seems to never be in short supply of things to say. They're both equally likeable and the show is a sure-bet for an ‘I-don't-wanna-leave-feeling-duped' kind of experience. So, if you ever wanted to know how some of the greatest illusions in magic are pulled off, this is the show that reveals all.
